Wildnatives Nursery was started in 1993, when John and his son Steven would go out in the early morning hours before school to dig up trees along the roadside to save them from being herbicides.

Now Fast forward to 2019 we now grow over 50 different species. We still remember our humble beginnings of going out in our old brown Ford Econoline van before school starts every day during the winter.

Our first trees were Incense Cedars we used them to create crop breaks on our farm, and we realized that native trees and plants were easier to take care of vs nonnatives. We grow many different species from Big leaf maples to Giant Sequoias.
